Learn More About This Event

The second annual Art Seen Festival will be June 4-5, 2022. We are so excited to be bringing back our community mural concept, where you can paint with us! This wall, located at Ace Hardware in downtown Midland, is much larger than last year, so there will be plenty of space for even more community members to come and make your mark!

The Art Seen Festival will also have a second commissioned mural created this year. It will be on the same wall as last year’s fox mural, which is the rear parking lot wall of Little Forks Outfitters. The parking lot is accessible off McDonald Street, between E Main Street and E Larkin Street. The call for artists to submit concepts is open now through April 15, 2022. For more information and to apply, visit http://artseenfestival.com/call-for-artists.

We are also pleased to have the return of acoustic performances by a variety of talented local musicians on Saturday and Sunday evenings, presented by The Blue Light Music Venue.

Members First Credit Union has generously sponsored one of our 2022 murals in full! We are grateful for their support in this event and for their continuing work in the Midland community to encourage a better tomorrow.
Although the event is completely free, your financial support is appreciated. For a limited time, make a donation to the Art Seen Festival Fund held at the Midland Area Community Foundation to have early access to the community mural painting experience and receive a free Art Seen Logo t-shirt!

The Art Seen Festival is a creative movement celebrating the public arts and mural making to bring more vibrancy to our community. Public art gives our community a collective voice and a way to express our values while bringing awareness of and beauty to our city’s physical and cultural landscape. This work aligns with our larger Midland County vision: Together, Forward, Bold. An exceptional place where everyone thrives.

Public Arts Midland, an initiative of the Midland Area Community Foundation, has been the bridge to help link the Art Seen Festival together with Midland Center for the Arts Summer Art Fair, Creative 360’s Art Speaks Festival, and Mural Blast to bring people together in one incredible art-filled weekend.
