Downtown Midland welcomes Chick and the Boomers to The Commons Live Music Series on August 12, 2023 from 7-9 p.m.

Performances will be set up on the Pedestrian Plaza Stage in the intersection of McDonald St. & Main St. Bring a chair (or snag one of our outdoor tables), grab a drink & food from your favorite downtown restaurant, and enjoy the music!

The charismatic group Chick & The Boomers is comprised of seasoned musicians Lana Hoffman, Marty Koviak, Jim Lefler, Bryan Allers and Ron Stull. Performing traditional country music with some upbeat rockabilly and rock & roll tunes mixed in, it’s impossible to stay in your seat! Hoffman’s strong yet sultry voice covers many genres and styles, but country is where she shines. She portrayed Patsy Cline in several theatrical productions as well as fronted many local big bands and jazz combos throughout West Michigan. Allers’ precision steel guitar playing is key for the traditional country tunes thru the decades. Add in Marty “Fine”, who is easily one of the best lead guitar players in the area.
