Commons Live Music Series – Klay N The Mud
Downtown Midland welcomes Klay N’ The Mud on June 12, 2026 from 7 – 9 p.m. in Downtown Midland’s Pedestrian Plaza!
Performances will be set up on the Pedestrian Plaza Stage in the intersection of McDonald St. & Main St. Bring a chair (or snag one of our outdoor tables), grab a drink & food from your favorite downtown restaurant, and enjoy the music!
Formed in early 2020, Klay N’ The Mud consists of band members Klay Fennema, Kevin Turner and Tyler Coeling. The band hit the local Grand Rapids, MI music scene right away with their ultimate goals of creating original music, as well as keeping the party alive while performing everyone’s favorite cover songs.
Klay N’ The Mud draws inspiration from groups like Matchbox Twenty, The Goo Goo Dolls, Collective Soul, and even Guns N’ Roses, to name a few. With a modern and melodic driven sound, the band aims to inspire their listeners by writing songs that tell a story. On top of creating music, what makes this group unique is the ability and focus on performing cover songs of all different genres. With a carefully crafted set of songs, you just never know what tune will be played next.
