Grab your sneakers, put on your St. Patrick’s Day gear, and meet your friends in Downtown Midland for the Downtown Development Authority’s fourth annual Shamrock Sip & Strut on Friday, March 20, from 6-9 p.m.
The Shamrock Sip & Strut is an untimed, progressive workout route throughout Downtown Midland with ‘sips’ along the way at local businesses. Think of it as a social circuit training event with drink breaks along the way, with exercises designed and led by health and fitness professionals from Greater Midland Community Center, Allied Group Fitness, & EveryBODY Fitness to keep you moving and energized.
Each participant is responsible for purchasing their own drinks at each Downtown Midland establishment. They will all have a $4 exclusive drink option available for purchase that’s St. Patrick’s Day themed!
The workout route is simple to follow. Each participating Downtown Midland business will have a workout station outside of their establishment, ran by health and fitness professionals from across the community (coach). The coach will provide each participant with a workout to do. Once complete, you can stop into that business, grab a quick drink (shot, small mixed drink, mocktail, etc.), exit once enjoyed, and do another workout on your way to the next station. For example, do 10 pushups at Three Bridges, go in and get their exclusive drink, and skip to Brinstar!
