Downtown Midland welcomes Soul Xpress to The Commons Live Music Series on June 21, 2024 from 7-9 p.m.

Performances will be set up on the Pedestrian Plaza Stage in the intersection of McDonald St. & Main St. Bring a chair (or snag one of our outdoor tables), grab a drink & food from your favorite downtown restaurant, and enjoy the music!

Soul Xpress is a rambunctious 7 piece funk/soul band that features a line up of respected musicians. The bands mastery of soul music stems from absorbing the real deal of years of experience. Members of the group have performed or opened with artists such as the Commodores, KC & the Sunshine Band, Rare Earth, Otis Day & the Knights, War, The Dramatics, Bobby Byrd, Martha Reeves & the Vandellas as well as Rock Legends such as Bad Company, Edgar Winter, Foghat and Davy Jones. Soul Xpress is an exciting live act that ignites crowds with their exceptional showmanship and funky grooves. A testament to the snap of tight funk is party people on the dance floor.
