Located in the heart of downtown Midland, Gratzi Italian restaurant ignites the Italian restaurant scene by offering its guests a contemporary, chef-driven menu inspired by various regions of Italy. The service team is energetic and knowledgeable, creating an enthusiastic and comfortable vibe in the restaurant.
The perfect Italian meal varies according to the season or desires of the moment. It is an event where those sharing the meal take time to appreciate companionship and partake in a layered experience of a meal served with several distinct courses. The modern, fresh approach of Gratzi’s menu starts with an aperitif and includes artisanal meats and cheeses brought in from different parts of Italy, uniquely prepared in more than a dozen unique pasta entrées from the classics to the contemporary. Carne, pesce, and our chef’s specialties like Espresso Rubbed Filet Mignon, Veal Scallopine, and our Top Knife award-winning dish Pan Seared Chilean Seabass. We feature fresh fish and premium seafood flown in daily from Foley’s of Boston. Seasonal and local items are procured whenever possible, which includes fresh herbs and garden vegetables. Gratzi also features an industrial gas-fired stone pizza oven producing artisanal pizzas. After dinner, guests can enjoy our purely indulgent decadent hand-crafted desserts and lemon cello.
Italian wines are a predominant part of the beverage menu, however, the wine list also extends into select regions from around the world. The full-service bar also provides premium liquors, specialty and traditional Italian cocktails, bottled beer and select beers on tap. Fine wines and liquors are served in unique fashion and held in climate-controlled wine cabinets, wine racks and custom liquor displays as part of the restaurant’s modern aesthetic.

Gratzi’s Happy Hour consists of wines by the glass, draft and bottled beer specials, specialty priced cocktails and our classic ‘Gratzi Sangria’ for you to enjoy!
Gratzi is the perfect place to meet with a group of friends and family, host business meetings, or enjoy private dining. Gratzi’s interior dining and bar area seats over 230 guests including up to 50 guests in the Mezzanine balcony, private dining up to 30 guests and a semi-private dining area up to 10 guests, along with specialty seating at the Captain’s Table up to 8 guests. During the warmer months, outdoor seating is available on the patio.
The original Gratzi has withstood the test of time and has been a successful landmark in Ann Arbor, Mich. for over 30 years, with a nod towards tradition from its early days in the 1930’s as the Orpheum Theater. The theatre screened the most popular movies of the day in the 1930s. Gratzi restaurants maintain that flair of the dramatic history in the colorful and stylistic décor, creating an indulgent and purely pleasurable atmosphere at Gratzi for all to enjoy!
