Commons Live Music Series – Lou Fighters
Downtown Midland welcomes Lou Fighters on July 12, 2025 from 7 – 9 p.m. in Downtown Midland’s Pedestrian Plaza!
Performances will be set up on the Pedestrian Plaza Stage in the intersection of McDonald St. & Main St. Bring a chair (or snag one of our outdoor tables), grab a drink & food from your favorite downtown restaurant, and enjoy the music!
The Lou Fighters band was born in the suburbs of Detroit in May 2022, when founder Lou Kist, deeply moved by the sudden passing of Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins, made it his mission to keep the spirit of Foo Fighters live performances alive for fans everywhere.
A veteran of the Detroit music scene, Lou knew he needed a high-energy, authentic band that could both look and sound like the Foo Fighters. He reunited with his bandmates from the 90s radio-rock band Blender and added a talented final member from another local band— and just like that, the Lou Fighters were born. From the start, the band members immediately clicked, creating a powerful, cohesive unit focused on delivering an authentic Foo Fighters experience. Their high-energy shows and the frenzied crowds they attract are proof they’ve nailed it. If you love Foo Fighters, this band is for you!
This year’s Commons Live Music Series is brought to you by the Downtown Development Authority and presented by Dow Credit Union. Thank you, also, to our community sponsors Mercantile Bank, Oxygen Lounge, Tri-Star Trust, and Three Rivers Corporation!
