Gus Macker Tournament
The Gus Macker Tournament is coming back to Midland this year August 10-11 in the downtown area!
Join us for the Great Lakes Bay Gus Macker, held in beautiful Downtown Midland! The tournament will stretch through downtown along Main and Larkin Streets, with easy access to local restaurants, shops, green space, and a beautiful riverfront. Click here to register your team to play (deadline July 22)!
Spend your downtime between games, enjoying all the Downtown Midland Pedestrian Plaza has to offer. Challenge your friends to some fun yard games or just chill out on the comfy outdoor furniture. Don’t forget to add a dash of local flavor to your day by shopping and dining at local downtown businesses. Enjoy a day of pure joy and local charm, waiting just for you just blocks away from all the action. You can even spend your evenings rocking out at the Commons Live Music Series as Trixy Tang performs Friday & Nameless on night from 7pm -9pm at the intersection of Main St. & McDonald St. Learn more about the Commons Live Music Series here.
While in Midland, you can also enjoy a Great Lakes Loons ballgame with your family as the Loons take on the Lansing Lugnuts! Part of the proceeds from ticket sales for games on August 9th – 11th will go to The Legacy Center for Community Success. Click here to purchase your Loons tickets now!
The Great Lakes Bay Region has something for everyone – enjoy a walk in the gardens and among the trees at Midland’s Dow Gardens and Whiting Forest; visit Bay City State Park to cool off at the beach and play in the splash park; or spend a few hours visiting the animals at the Saginaw Children’s Zoo.
All proceeds of the Great Lakes Bay Gus Macker go to the hosting organization: The Legacy Center for Community Success. The Legacy Center is a Midland-based nonprofit that develops more resilient families through evidence-based education and prevention initiatives.
